“Personal virtual computer” system

“Personal virtual computer” system (PVC) [https://pvc.susu.ru]  — it is universal access tool for student teacher to the cloud of educational services of the university. Within the system, for each user, a separate PVC (virtual machine based on the Windows 7 operating system) with an individual profile is created. To run the PC users use personal laptops, netbooks, teachers work computers or other devices. As a result, any SUSU classroom with workstations equipped with electrical outlets can be used as a computer lab. The PVK system is free for all SUSU employees and students.

Many departments already conduct classes using PVC system. Indeed, with its help, it became possible to launch a modern environment for engineering modeling on old PCs with Windows XP. The PVK system can also be used as a pre-post processor for preparation of calculations on supercomputers SUSU.

Practically the entire list of application software available on supercomputers is available in PVK, as well as additional software for training and programming. We can also install free software or software for which your department has a license.
