In to help you get your bearings in the world of high-performance computing systems and to be able to quickly track development trends in this area, the Interdepartmental Supercomputer Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Research Computing Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University in May 2004 years, with the support of the Russian company T-Platforms, we started a joint project to form a list of the 50 most powerful computers in the CIS TOP50. The list includes 50 computing systems installed in the territory of the CIS and showing the highest performance on the Linpack test by the time the list was published.
Supercomputer Tornado SUSU held the following positions in TOP50:

Supercomputer Tornado SUSU took 54th place in the rating of supercomputers in World Ranking HPCG. The goal of the HPCG project is to create a test that more adequately reflects the performance of modern high-performance computing systems. The computational schemes and data access schemes used in the LINPACK test no longer reflect the real need of many modern parallel applications in the computer architecture. The HPCG test is also designed to meet the requirements of a wide range of tasks and algorithms, and encourages computer system developers to focus on those areas that will improve the performance of computing systems on a similar set of tasks.
